Although the club primarily serves the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Joaquin and Stanislaus, membership is not restricted to any geographic region. To apply, please send your completed application and check for dues to Sandy Kimble (see application form). Questions to membership@SierraWestBMDC.org . Once your application is received, applicants are placed on provisional status until their application is voted on by the general membership at the next regular club meeting. Provisional applicants enjoy all the benefits of full membership, except voting on club business.

Applicants for membership must be sponsored by two members in good standing. We recommend you attend club events to meet people and introduce yourself. Applicants are encouraged to attend at least one event prior to being approved as full members.

There are three membership types: Active Individual, Active Household and Associate. Active members are those located within the club's territory of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties. For those not within these counties you would be an Associate Member.
